Description
Chocina is a left tributary of the Brda River with a total length of 45 km. It's a wild river with clean water, in which it is easy to see the trout and numerous beaver lodges. We invite you to try out its section, which is a great option for novice paddlers and those who want to stresslessly relax in a kayak. It is an easy section, apart from a few short and troubleless episodes of carrying the kayaks due to picturesque wooden bridges. Additionally, in the village of Chociński Młyn (at road Swornegat - Przechlewo) there are the ruins of an old mill in water under the bridge - in that case you must move the kayaks on right side across the road.
Apart for events of carrying the kayaks, one the way you will be able to enjoy beautiful Kashubian landscape. Chocina is recommended to those who do not have any experience - great river, to learn how to maneuver (especially before reaching Lake Karsińskie where Chocina meanders intensively) as well as master the art of carrying the kayak. You will know the difference in canoeing on the river and lake. We hope that Chocina trip will result in the desire of experiencing Brda- the kayak queen of Polish rivers!
