Kamienica is one of the four major tributaries of Słupia. The route is interesting - you will see the old riverbed of Słupia and the remains of the attempts of changing it - weirs, thresholds and bridges. Hydroelectric power station Gałąźnia Mała is an attraction itself. This route was covered by Karol Wojtyła, which was commemorated with a stone.
The river in this section is varied. You will encounter a number of short and not troublesome episodes of carrying the kayaks over the fallen trees and multiple obstacles such as fallen trees and thresholds. Current will be rapid at places, there are also stone rapids. This all increases the attractiveness of the route, while it is not an undue burden – you can still enjoy the beautiful surroundings and unspoiled nature safely. No problems for canoeists after 3-4 canoeing trips. After that, however, you will feel a kayaking appetite for more. Perhaps one of more difficult sections of Słupia or Łupawa?
